The car show that ate Paris

Last day in Paris! Time flies when you are having fun, today Carolyn and I split up, I was off to the Paris Motor Show, she was off to enjoy some shopping. The Paris Motor show is possibly the largest in the world and would easily be about 4 times the size of the Melbourne motor show. That said it was really more of the same, there were a few more models available compared to back home, but the stands are a lot more elaborate and the manufacturers all try to out do each other with show stoppers. Rather than post photo’s of Lamborghini’s and Ferrari’s though, I thought I’d post two awards – Ugliest car in show which goes to Ssangyoong (which would have also picked up second and third) and least original car in show – the Kia Opirus. I am sure the Daimler Chrysler copyright lawyers would be on to this one!

Finishing off the day was a cruise along the Siene and a dinner out at one of the French bistro’s in our street. Food was nice enough, but it is kind of like eating in Lygon st, it is nice and it is French, but it is also a bit daggy.

For something different, here is a photo of the Eiffel Tower, this time from the river boat.
