Come quickly, I am drinking the stars!

Today was out first full day in the town of Reims located in Champagne. We are staying at the lovely Les Crayeres which was built as a house for the daughter of Madam Pommery. This room is a tad bigger than Paris, we can swing a cat in this one!

What to do in Reims? Well as one person said to me, apart from the Notre Dame and the Basilica, taste Champagne. Nothing wrong with that we say!
We got to Pommery in the morning and Taittinger in the afternoon. The underground chalk mines are quite unique and really do a great job of maintaining the temperature at 30m underground, the temperature is a constant 8 degrees and the air is amazingly fresh.

Taittinger hold in the order of 18 Million bottles in their cellars which is pretty amazing.

After all that hard work of course, the reward is in the tasting.
